Career move?
Journal Entry: Thu Apr 12, 2007, 8:30 AM
I got an email from a temp agency out of Gahanna, a suburb northeast of Columbus. They're saying they got my résumé out of Monster.com, and had a couple of possible temp jobs for me, one in telemarketing, the other as a billing analyst. I won't do telemarketing, citing my bad experience with Affinion Group. But they say I'm qualified for the billing analyst job because of my certification in Microsoft Excel.
As much as I fear my Teleperformance job—I'm getting to the point where my large average handling time is starting to become a big factor—I'm leaning away from this billing analyst temp job. The money is good at $10-$11 per hour, but the question still remains of what happens after June. 2½ months and then done? Not the kind of career I had in mind.
